Gunjan Sinha - Executive Chairman
As the Executive Chairman of MetricStream, Gunjan Sinha is responsible for leading the firm's overall strategy and execution. Over the course of his career, Gunjan has spent over 20 years in various entrepreneurial, board, and executive positions building innovative businesses. As an Internet pioneer, he was the Co-Founder and President of WhoWhere? Inc., a leading Internet directory services company that was acquired by Lycos in 1998, as well as eGain, an online customer service company which he built from inception to post NASDAQ IPO. Gunjan currently serves on the Board of Directors of several Silicon Valley companies, and in 2010, he was appointed to the Board of the US-India Science and Technology Research Endowment Fund by the US State Department to promote entrepreneurship and innovation. He also serves as the Chairman of CFHI.org which brings transformative healthcare education to under-served communities around the world.
Gunjan obtained his BS and MS degrees in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, and UC Santa Cruz, respectively. He also holds an MS in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from Stanford University. Gunjan has been featured as one of the 50 most successful immigrant entrepreneurs in the US by Silicon India.
Shellye Archambeau - Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Archambeau is the CEO of MetricStream, a Silicon Valley-based, Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) and Quality Management software company that helps companies around the world improve their business performance. Under Ms. Archambeau's leadership, MetricStream has grown into a recognized global market leader with over 1600 employees around the world. The company has been recognized for growth and innovation, and has been consistently named a leader in GRC by leading independent analyst firms.
Ms. Archambeau has proven global business expertise combined with public policy passion. As a member of the board of directors for the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, a nationally recognized organization focused on fostering a cooperative effort between business and government officials to address major public policy issues affecting Silicon Valley, Ms. Archambeau has led initiatives and Washington, DC delegations to address regulatory compliance and improve governance. She served on the Board of Directors, and the Audit and Technology committees for media research company, Arbitron, Inc. [NYSE: ARB] from 2005 until acquired by Nielsen in 2013. She currently serves on the board of directors of Verizon Communications Inc. [NYSE, NASDAQ: VZ], a global leader in delivering broadband and other wireless and wireline communications services.
Ms. Archambeau is a sought after speaker who has presented on GRC issues around the world to Fortune 500 corporations, members of Congress, and associations including IIA, ISACA, and NASDAQ. Ms. Archambeau is frequently quoted in top-tier media including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Compliance Week, Silicon Valley Business Journal, and currently pens a column on leadership and entrepreneurship for Xconomy. In April 2013, Ms. Archambeau was named the “#2 Most Influential African American in Technology” by Business Insider.
Gaurav Kapoor - Chief Operating Officer
As the Chief Operating Officer of MetricStream, Gaurav Kapoor has the overall responsibility for Sales, Marketing, Customer Advocacy, the Partner Ecosystem, and ComplianceOnline.com. Till 2010, he also served as the CFO of the company. During this time, he led MetricStream's financial strategy as well as Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships. He also launched ComplianceOnline.com, a MetricStream business unit which has grown to become a leading online GRC community and content property.
Mr. Kapoor came to MetricStream from OpenGrowth, an incubation and venture firm where he helped build and grow several companies including ArcadiaOne and Regalix. Prior to that, he spent several years in Marketing, Operations, and Business roles at Citi in Asia and the U.S.
Mr. Kapoor has a Bachelor's degree in Technology (with Honors) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), a degree in Business from FMS, Delhi, and an MBA from the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar. He serves on the board of Regalix, a digital innovation and marketing company.
Jeffrey Zellmer - Chief Financial Officer
As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for MetricStream, Jeff Zellmer is responsible for all the Finance and Accounting operations of the company including planning, analysis, reporting, controls, audit, and treasury activities.
Jeff brings over 25 years of financial management experience in various Silicon Valley technology companies. At Silicon Graphics [NYSE: SGI], he rose through the financial ranks from 1988 to 2006, and eventually served as their CFO from 2001 to 2006. Most recently, Jeff was the CFO of a private equity owned medical devices company. He has also worked in Unisys, MIPS Technologies (formerly MIPS Computer Systems), Lam Research, and Dental Technologies (DTI).
Jeff’s experience spans global, multi-billion dollar publicly-traded organizations, as well as smaller, high growth firms. He has a strong track record of building high-performing teams that are tightly integrated with business operations, while ensuring a high level of compliance and control.
Jeff holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from San Diego State University.
Venky Yerrapotu - Executive Vice President of Professional Services and Engineering
As the Executive Vice President of Professional Services and Engineering, Venky Yerrapotu is responsible for engineering and supporting MetricStream's GRC and Quality Management applications. In addition, Venky is responsible for the MetricStream's solution delivery team. Prior to being promoted to this position, he held the positions of Vice President of Quality Services and Vice President of Product Development and Delivery. Prior to MetricStream, Venky held senior management positions at Oracle and Apexon. During his career, Venky has been involved with product development and provided consulting services to enterprise customers such as Cisco Systems, Motorola, ADT, GAP, Unocal and Honeywell. Venky has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University, India and a Master's degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from Montana State University.
Vidya Phalke - Chief Technology Officer
As the CTO of MetricStream, Vidya Phalke is responsible for MetricStream's technical architecture and strategy. Prior to being promoted to the CTO position, Vidya served as Vice President of Product Management and Engineering at MetricStream where he was responsible for MetricStream's Software Products and Platform Delivery. Starting with MetricStream in 2003, Vidya has been instrumental in transforming the, then nascent, GRC Platform vision into an Industry Leading GRC Software Platform as recognized by MetricStream's World Class Enterprise customers as well as Leading Analysts.
Vidya has held various Senior Product Management and Engineering positions in Narus and Network Programs - building Enterprise Grade Business and Operations Support Systems. Before joining the Software Industry, Vidya was an Academic at Rutgers University where he won two SBIR grants on cutting edge research on Databases and Network Optimization. Besides a PhD in Computer Science from Rutgers University, Vidya holds a Management degree from MIT Sloan. He is a graduate of IIT, Delhi, India.
Brenda Boultwood - Senior Vice President of Industry Solutions
As the Senior VP of Industry Solutions, Brenda is responsible for a portfolio of key industry verticals, including Energy and Utilities, Federal Agencies, as well as strategic Banking and Financial Services customers.
Brenda comes to MetricStream with a rich career in Risk Management, and has held several key operating roles at some of the largest global organizations. Most recently she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer at Constellation Energy. Prior to that, she served as Global Head of Strategy, Alternative Investment Services, at J.P. Morgan Chase & Company, where she developed the strategy for the company’s Hedge Fund Services, Private Equity Fund Services, Leveraged Loan Services, and Global Derivative Services. During her tenure at J.P. Morgan Chase, Brenda also served as Global Head of Strategic Risk Management for its Treasury Services group, and as Global Business Head of Global Derivative Services for its Alternative Investment Services group.
At Bank One Corporation, she served as Head, Corporate Market Risk Management and Counterparty Credit, and Head of Corporate Operational Risk Management, before advancing to Head, Global Risk Management for the company’s Global Treasury Services group.
Brenda has also worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Chemical Bank Corporation. In addition, she has spent time teaching at the University of Maryland’s MBA program. Brenda was a member of the CFTC Technology Advisory Committee, and has also served on the Board of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). She currently serves on the Board of the Committee of Chief Risk Officers (CCRO).
Brenda graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations. She also earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the City University of New York.
Shankar Bhaskaran - General Manager of International Operations
As the General Manager of International Operations Shankar Bhaskaran is responsible for leading the business strategy and execution for Europe, Middle East and the Asia Pacific markets. Shankar has spent over 15 years in enterprise software and technology, media & new media having worked with large corporations such as Time & Fortune, Harvard Business Review, Bennet & Coleman, Living Media, Double-click network, and Altavista among others, in key marketing, corporate and brand communication roles. Prior to joining MetricStream, he was head of business solutions for the Asia Pacific markets with Vista Enterprise Solutions, a leading player in the outsourced software applications market. At MetricStream, over the last 7 years he has leveraged the unique India-US business model for outsourced delivery to onsite locations having setup the sales and marketing infrastructure, general and administration teams to support scale and delivery. Shankar has a BS in Computer Science from Madras University, Executive Program from Indian Institute of Management and has been trained by professional bodies such as NIS, Huthwaite Research, HFI, and Times School among others.
Vasant Balasubramanian - Vice President of Product Management
As Vice President of Product Management, Vasant is responsible for product vision and strategy across MetricStream's GRC & Quality product lines. Over his five years at MetricStream, Vasant has been a thought-leader in shaping the vision for Integrated GRC and spearheading key strategic initiatives to drive MetricStream's success in the market.
In a career spanning over 18 years in technology, Vasant has envisioned, designed, and developed market-leading products. He held senior management positions at Mercury Interactive/HP and InterWeave where he focused on building innovative & intuitive products that customers value. Vasant holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from IIT, Roorkee and a Masters degree in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
Keri Dawson - Vice President of Industry Solutions and Advisory Services
As Vice President of Industry Solutions and Advisory Services at MetricStream, Keri Dawson is responsible for leading the continued growth of MetricStream's enterprise solutions and services portfolios. She specifically focuses on emerging market needs in the Retail, Consumer Goods, and Food industries. Ms. Dawson has spent most of her professional life working in various roles in these sectors. She was most recently a Director with KPMG where she spent more than a decade consulting in governance, risk management, auditing, and compliance management. As the leader of MetricStream’s Partner Program and MetricStream University, Ms. Dawson’s focus is on driving business transformation initiatives that help MetricStream clients realize tangible business value, and also enable them to leverage data-driven intelligence to improve business operations. Ms. Dawson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science. She is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor and Project Management Professional.
Anindo Banerjea - Senior Vice President of Engineering
As the Senior Vice President of Engineering, Dr. Anindo Banerjea is responsible for the development of MetricStream GRC Platform, the AppStudio toolkit for rapid application development, as well as MetricStream’s suite of Governance, Risk, and Compliance products. Prior to MetricStream, Dr. Banerjea was the CTO at TBD Networks, a company specializing in network technology, virtualization and data center automation. Previously, Dr. Banerjea was a Research Professor at the Information Sciences Institute (ISI) at the University of Southern California and Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Toronto, where he conducted research and taught undergraduate and graduate level courses on networking and information technology. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley and a B.Sc. from IIT, Delhi.
Susan Palm - Vice President of Industry Solutions
As the VP of Industry Solutions, Susan Palm is responsible for driving growth for MetricStream in specific industries including Financial Services. Susan comes to MetricStream with over 27 years as a practitioner in Governance and Risk Management. Most recently, as the Senior Vice President of Audit and Risk at Sterling Savings Bank, Susan was responsible for Audit, Compliance, Fraud, Credit Review and Enterprise Risk Management. She has also spent several years in consulting. Prior to that, Susan spent over two decades at Norwest and Wells Fargo where she served as the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Governance and Risk Management. She was actively engaged with the Board of Directors, Federal Reserve, the OCC, other regulatory bodies, and has led various National Operational Risk committees eg BITS Regulatory Overlap Reconciliation and the Basel ANPR. She is a regular speaker at several forums in Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC). Susan received her B.A. in Economics from Lawrence University, and graduated from the Stanford Graduate School of Business’ Executive Program.
Thomas Ludwig - Vice President of Customer Advocacy
As the Vice President of Customer Advocacy, Thomas Ludwig is responsible for representing MetricStream customer interests, as well as responsible for production engineering and support. Thomas joined MetricStream through MetricStream's acquisition of TBD Networks/vPanorama, a Silicon Valley based company that built software for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) and management of virtualized environments and networks. As Co-Founder and later CEO of TBD Networks, Thomas successfully led the development of the company since inception, as well as led deployments in some of the world's largest virtualized environments. Prior to TBD Networks/vPanorama, Thomas was a Principal at Boldstep Software, a boutique consulting firm specializing in mega-project management in the financial services industry with responsibility for project volumes over USD $60M. Thomas started his career as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company working on projects for clients in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, media, manufacturing, and banking industries out of the firm's offices in London, New York City, and Germany. Thomas holds a B.S and M.S in Computer Science from the University of Technology Vienna and a B.A and M.A in Philosophy from the University of Vienna in a joint program with UC Berkeley.
Mark Mitchell - Senior Vice President of Corporate Development
As the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for MetricStream, Mark Mitchell is responsible for developing strategic, corporate, customer, and partner initiatives, as well as mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Mitchell brings over 25 years of experience in enterprise software, corporate and business development, and mergers and acquisitions in various Silicon Valley technology companies. He played a key role in building valuable technology businesses in the US and globally, in several C-level roles. He was a co-founder at eMeter, a leading smart-grid company acquired by Siemens AG. He also held key operating executive and corporate and business development leadership roles at Serious Energy, Intematix, Scayl, and Law.com. Most recently, Mr. Mitchell was SVP Business Development at RiverMeadow, a leading provider of SaaS solutions for migration of servers into the cloud. Mr. Mitchell’s experience spans a range of businesses, including early-stage companies and expansion stage companies, as well as Fortune 500 and Global 1000 customers in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. He is also a named inventor on three patents.
Mr. Mitchell holds a Master’s degree in Business from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from University of the Pacific.
French Caldwell - Chief Evangelist
One of the foremost thought leaders in IT, French Caldwell has been decisively shaping the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) market for the last 12 years. Currently serving as MetricStream’s Chief Evangelist, French is a former Fellow and Vice President at Gartner where he led the GRC research, including the influential Gartner Magic Quadrant on GRC, as well as research into disruptive technology. He also worked with the White House and U.S. Naval War College in 2002 to develop the Digital Pearl Harbor war game, the first ever strategic assessment of cyber war strategies. In 2012, the game took on a very real form with the strategic attacks on oil and gas infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. French is also a retired naval officer and a nuclear submariner. Post retirement from the Navy, he served as a diplomatic liaison to NATO for the post-Cold War Congressional Commission on Roles and Missions of the Armed Forces.
Beyond his professional contributions, French is a leading academic. He served as a Federal Executive Fellow at the Brookings Institution, an Adjunct Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and an Adjunct Professor and Graduate Research Advisor at the George Washington University School of Engineering Management. He has written a book on international law and has over 400 published research papers. He is currently researching the impact of disruptive technologies on public policy at Northeastern University, Boston.
