Job Description

As software Quality Assurance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring quality software delivery as per schedule. The role requires close collaboration with the engineering staff to define, develop, and execute test plans and test cases, review and report on test progress, status, and meet test completion and delivery milestones that you help define. You will be required to work closely with design, development, project management and documentation to coordinate testing responsibilities.

Specific Responsibilities/Functions

• Developing QA project plans, specifications, estimates and schedules
• Bring in industry best practices and standards in place
• Create/maintain test plans and test cases for MS platform, guide team to create these plans.
• Monitoring project progress vs. schedules, revisions to project plans
• Assigning tasks, balancing ongoing projects and immediate needs for product fixes and problem resolution
• Monitoring the work of direct reports and providing ongoing feedback
• Working collaboratively with the Development Manager and Product Manager to manage the project
• Ensure and extend post-build regression testing
• Provide mentorship to QA staff members
• Evaluate tools and technologies to improve the overall QA process

Desired Profile

• 7 - 10 years of experience in Testing. Should have managed QA team of 6 to 8 size for at least 2 to 3 years.
• Should have good verbal and written communication skills.
• He or She should be able to manage multiple priorities.
• Should have good management , leadership and team building skills.
• Should have good knowledge in java and J2EE based web applications.
• Strong knowledge in Software Performance and Security testing is a plus
• Having a good experience in executing automation project.
