Pre-Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Consultant

The job candidate must have a technical/development background along with experience working with customers.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in a pre-sales or business development role, with a proven ability to present solutions to customers within the sales process
  • Ability to conduct demos of MetricStream's applications to potential customers and answer technical and architectural questions
  • Ability to understand customer business needs and requirements and then articulate technical solutions and options based on MetricStream's offerings
  • Ability to develop requirements and specifications for proof-of-concept systems and/or demos based on customer requirements and/or business needs
  • Ability to complete RFIs and RFPs and/or coordinate resources who can provide answers
  • Ability to project manage remote personnel resources and projects in order to complete development of demo systems in a timely manner
  • Ability to work with different departments within a customer, including IT, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and financial users.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, Relational databases and/or Data Modeling
  • Working knowledge of HTML, Java scripting and/or J2EE
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Software
  • Must be willing to work in Bangalore, India

Desired Experience

  • Experience working with high-technology and/or pharmaceutical customers
  • Experience working in development of software applications
  • Experience with quality management systems, processes or procedures is a big plus
  • Experience working with Sarbanes-Oxley, either in a consulting or software capacity
  • Knowledge or experience with TS 16949, ISO9000, Six Sigma or 21 CFR Part 11
  • Exposure to enterprise business applications such as ERP or CRM applications
  • Experience in managing development teams

This position may be based out of Redwood Shores, CA and Atlanta, GA, and the ability to travel is required.
