Engagement Manager / Senior Consultant

The Professional Services Organization (PSO) at MetricStream is the primary deployment channel for the MetricStream suite of applications. We work directly with senior level managers and executives in our client companies. Our goal is to develop a profound understanding of the client’s business processes so as to reduce their cost of compliance through the successful deployment of our software.

The PSO organization is undergoing rapid growth, which we foresee continuing through the next 12 months and beyond. This opportunity represents an ideal career path for a seasoned individual looking to help grow and mold a world-class organization.

The position will report directly to the VP of PSO.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a background in business applications consulting, with at least 5 years in a similar role. The candidate will have: strong communication skills; composure and presence in front of senior company executives; a business mind coupled with a technical background; and a burning desire to build long lasting customer relations.

Job Description
Summary

  • Manage application configuration and development engagements through the entire project lifecycle.
  • Manage all aspects of the customer relationship including financial, business and overall customer satisfaction elements.
  • Grow MetricStream’s footprint in the account through business consulting and internal selling to MetricStream’s customer champions.

Detailed

  • Working with the client and our development team, develop timeline estimates, resource requirements and detailed project plans
  • Oversee the multi-phase, multi-resource projects from needs analysis to go-live
  • Own the project plan including resources, milestones, and all key deliverables.
  • Ensure delivery of contractual commitments.
  • Oversee adherence to Project Management Office (PMO) delivery & risk mitigation standards.
  • Develop a tight and concise communication plan. Manage the plan especially with respect to issues and escalations.
  • Work hand-in-glove with the account sales team on account strategy and management tactics.
  • Own & resolve key issues upon escalation
  • Conduct customer presentations around our products and services (primarily services)
  • Work closely with our integration partners to ensure our shared success.

Job Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field; a postgraduate degree or masters is highly desirable.
  • PMI certification desirable.
  • Minimum of 5+ years working experience in a similar role for software vendors.
  • Experience managing development projects from a financial and delivery perspective.
  • Knowledge of business applications from major vendors.
  • Strong Project Management skills and experience
  • Oral communication skills that can be universally described as eloquent, articulate and lucid.
  • Written communication skills of publication-level quality (white papers, blogs, etc.)
  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in a customer facing role
  • Ability and desire to travel approx 1 week in 4.
