Job Description:
You will work as a part of the QA team, catering to both the Product Development and Solutions organizations, designing, developing maintaining, and executing test cases for MetricStream's platform, tools, Solutions / Applications Modules. You will guide other team members in understanding of the functionality and developing appropriate test plan and test cases. You will be responsible for ensuring and assessing the product quality along all dimensions . You will report to the QA Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Create test data, test roles, test techniques and test planning
• Execute Unit Testing, Integration testing, system testing and user acceptance testing
• Implement various test design models for automating test life cycles based upon the type of project
• Implement various test design models for manual test life cycles based upon the type of project
• Identify of End-End Scenarios for automation and performance testing
• Hold regular planning and review meetings with team members
• Review of Detailed Test Cases and Periodic review of the schedule variance, effort variance and cost variance for testing phases
• Prepare Master Test Plan and Detailed Test Plan to monitor progress against the defined objectives and for continuous improvement of processes
• Execution functional testing, performance testing, black box or white box testing
• Ensure effective Project planning, Scheduling, Estimation for Test Planning and Testing
• Execute software quality control & testing related activities in the organization
• Advocating an appropriate level of testability focus in the software development process
• Identifying the most appropriate implementation approach for a given test
• Bottom-up and top-down testing approaches

Job Requirements:

• Engineering / Masters Degree in Computer Science / IT with relevant experience
• 4-6 years QA testing experience, with a minimum of 1 year in Testing J2EE based Applications
• A demonstrated understanding of the development lifecycle and how QA fits into the process
• A demonstrated understanding of front-end and back-end technologies and how they fit together
• Automation testing knowledge required
• Must have a minimum of 1 Year experience in doing Load Testing, Volume Testing, Stress Testing and Functional Testing using Automated Testing Tools
• Should be excellent in Time Management, Planning Skills & Organizing Skills
• Strong communication and problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment required
• Experience in ISO / CMM Assessment will be definitely a plus
