Technical Writer

Job Description

You will be responsible for authoring and reviewing all technical publications, including but not limited to User Guides, Training Manuals, Installation Guide, System Administration Guide, Programmer's Guide, Release Notes, Online Help and Product Presentations and ensuring that MetricStream's customers and partners are provided the best documentation through the installation, use and maintenance of MetricStream's products in the Industry.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Documentation Analyst in authoring technical documentation.
• Interact with Product Management, Platform and Applications Development, Support teams and collect inputs for various documents, including but not limited to User Guides, Training Manuals, Installation Guide, System Administration Guide, Programmer's Guide, Release Notes, Online Help and Product Presentations
• Author, review and iterate multiple times with various teams on the content.
• Keep the documentation current and updated at all times.
• Review requirements and design documents for consistency, completeness
• language.
• Continuously revise the documentation depending on customer feedback via support and feedback from implementation teams at customer sites.

Job Requirements

• Experience in technical writing for web-based, J2EE-based enterprise class products and applications.
• Experience in being able to install and work with products as an end user.
• Experience with RoboHelp or similar tools is a must.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Exposure to enterprise business applications such as ERP or CRM.
• Must be willing to work in Bangalore, India.
