AIB International Goes Live with MetricStream GRC Platform for Quality, Safety and Compliance Audits

MetricStream Solution to automate and streamline AIB's food safety audit and inspection services for the food industry

March 31, 2011 | Palo Alto, California: MetricStream, Inc., the market leader in enterprise Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) solutions, announced today that AIB International, Manhattan, Kansas, a leading provider of third-party food safety audit, inspection, certification and education services to broad segments of the food and beverage manufacturing and distribution industry worldwide, has gone live globally with MetricStream Automated Quality Management Solution (QMS). Integrated on MetricStream Enterprise GRC Platform 6.0, the solution will automate, streamline and enhance the quality of AIB's food safety audit and inspection services for the food industry.

AIB International is an industry leader in audit and inspection services. The company also provides educational programs on food safety, research and technical services. It has a wide range of clients from multinational corporations with complex needs to thousands of smaller enterprises. AIB International is committed to protecting the safety of the entire food supply chain and delivering high-value technical and educational programs. Many of the world's largest food manufacturers, distributors and food service operators rely on AIB International's services as an essential component of their food safety programs.

The MetricStream solution will automate and streamline the entire range of AIB's food safety audit and inspection services, and enable business departments to achieve optimum efficiency. Prior to implementing the MetricStream solution, AIB's auditors were managing over 10,000 audits and inspections per year through labor-intensive, sub-optimal processes that relied heavily on email, and non-integrated systems.

MetricStream's Quality Management System provides a single platform to plan, assign, execute, schedule, track and manage audits. Some of the highlights of the solution include robust support for data entry in Spanish and English, an offline briefcase functionality to allow AIB auditors to conduct audits at remote field sites with no access to Internet, a scheduler to automate every task related to audit scheduling, extensive support to train auditors, and an application studio that allows AIB users to independently develop new applications and enhance or customize functionalities of the existing application.

As part of the next phase of implementation, the reach of the MetricStream solution will be extended to the entire customer base of AIB International. In addition, more languages will be included for data entry into the application.

Commenting on going live with the MetricStream solution, Dr. Maureen Olewnik, Vice President of Audit and Technical Services at AIB International said, "With MetricStream's all-inclusive solution, which is stable and robust, our food safety audit, inspection and certification services will become even more dependable. MetricStream's extensive support for automation scheduling, data repository formation, comprehensive reporting and enterprise-wide training has enhanced the assured quality of our services."

"It is exciting to see AIB International go live with the MetricStream solution." says Gaurav Kapoor, Chief Operating Officer at MetricStream. "The food industry is extremely sensitive about safety audits due to their direct and deep contribution to safeguarding human health. Overall quality management is therefore of specific importance to third-party audit providers like AIB. Our solution covers every angle of the quality process, helping AIB fulfill its responsibility in an assured manner."
