Inventory Management: MetricStream Equipment Management module streamlines inventory management of equipment, spare parts, consumable supplier, etc. with equipment master lists that include details of plants, departments, locations and owners. Managers can monitor usage history, repair, calibration and obsolescence of equipment as well as calculate metrics such as cost of maintenance. It tracks equipment by serial number and manages warranties periods, vendor information and purchase orders. The solution enables maintaining a master list of facilities and creating a schedule of maintenance for facilities with task assignments of maintenance responsibilities.

Preventive Maintenance: The solution enables scheduling of general preventive maintenance, cleaning and calibration based on type and frequency of use to ensure that manufacturing equipment operates within the parameters necessary to produce products that meet established specifications. It automatically generates work orders for appropriate personnel and notifies production managers of the schedule in advance. Managers can track and escalate due work orders to avoid delays and initiate evaluation of impact of out-of-tolerance measurements on in-process or finished products.

Remedial Maintenance: The solution allows triggering remedial maintenance and recalibration based on exception events. Automated workflows route maintenance requests to unit head for review and approval, automatically assign maintenance task to appropriate personnel, and generate work order with email notifications. Quality units can initiate equipment recalibration or repair based on a corrective/preventive action or a change request and trigger SOPs change or training request if appropriate.

Reports and Metrics: MetricStream provides complete visibility into the equipment inventory, maintenance/repair costs and performance metrics across the enterprise with easy status tracking of schedules and activities. Users can access consolidated equipment operation and calibration history for failure analysis and tracks defects, symptoms and root causes with ease. Graphical executive dashboards and flexible reports with drill-down capability provide detailed information and metrics on equipment inventory, vendors, warranties, repair, usage history and cost of maintenance.
