The Gartner Security and Risk Management Summit featured four days of speakers, sessions, networking, and technology showcases. The event also featured two distinguished guest keynote speakers – Leon Panetta, U.S. Secretary of Defense (2011-2013) and Director at Central Intelligence Agency (2009-2011), and Cory Doctorow, Journalist, Science Fiction Author, Activist and Blogger.

The event’s opening keynote titled, “Manage Risk and Deliver Security in a Digital World” was delivered by Ant Allan, Research VP at Gartner; Peter Firstbrook, Research VP at Gartner; and Avivah Litan; Vice President and Distinguished Analyst at Gartner. The speakers shared their views on the importance of risk managers in supporting the achievement of enterprise objectives, while also mitigating security risks. The event also featured other distinguished speakers from Gartner, as well as speakers from leading organizations around the world.

During the event, MetricStream hosted a panel discussion titled, “The Convergence of Enterprise, IT and Security Risk Management” which was moderated by French Caldwell, Chief Evangelist at MetricStream and featured expert panelists including Kashif Latif, GRC Officer and Architect and Security Officer, Fidelity National Information Services; Isabel Smith, Director of Internal Audit at Johnson & Johnson; and Mike Reynolds, Information Security Risk Manager at Air Liquide.
