May 27, 2015| Milan, Italy: MetricStream, the market leader in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Apps, in association with PwC, will host a GRC Journey Roundtable in Milan. The event is by invitation only, and will be held on May 28, 2015 between 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at PwC Italia, Milan. The event will feature industry experts, analysts, and practitioners from organizations across Italy and the rest of Europe representing the domains of Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) and Audit. The event discussions will be around the latest trends and best practices in Risk Management.

There has been a fundamental shift as organizations make the commitment to more sustainable best practice programs around risk, governance, and compliance management. Organizations are expanding beyond traditional GRC and into audit and IT processes, supplier governance, environment, health and safety, and more. Embarking on a GRC Journey is about accelerating organizational readiness, and improving business performance by managing GRC as a program, which involves people, processes and technologies. The integration of key GRC activities into existing business processes can reduce complexity and cut costs, while also protecting the company’s reputation and financial well-being.

This GRC Journey Roundtable in Milan is based on the theme, ‘Navigating Your GRC Journey’ and will feature expert-led panel discussions that offer attendees new insight, lessons learned, and best practices to drive value for their organization. Panelists will also share their ideas on how to strengthen risk governance structures, the importance of understanding non-financial risk, how to establish a risk appetite across the enterprise, and ways to promote internal transparency.

Claudio Cecchini, Practice Head – Italy at MetricStream and Nicola Monti, Risk Assurance Leader, Internal Audit Leader at PwC Italia will deliver the keynote address, which will be followed by two panel discussions that will take a deeper dive into the quintessential risk, compliance, and internal audit triangle, with panelists exploring the overlap and cooperation amongst the three functions.

The first panel discussion will be led by Donato Camporeale, Executive Director of PwC Italia and will focus on topics such as ways to achieve superior enterprise risk management, alternative methods to traditional risk management, and how to speed up the assessment process.

The second panel discussion will focus on internal compliance requirements and best practices in audit, risk, and compliance management. The panelists include Massimo Cregut, Head of Global Internal Audit Methodologies Development at Unicredit; Susanna Buson, Independent Consultant – Former VP, Head of Business Continuity & Crisis Management at Finmeccanica Spa; Giuliano Merlo, Head of Information Risk Management and Anti‐Fraud at ING Bank; and Luca Boni, Internal Audit Corporate at Autogrill.
