August 20, 2015, Washington DC: MetricStream, the market leader in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Apps, will host an ERM Roundtable on September 2, 2015 at the Marriott Marquis in Washington DC. The event will feature expert-led panels that will explore key aspects of GRC, such as Enterprise Risk Management, Audit Management, and Cybersecurity, and the event will conclude with a GRC Journey workshop.

The day-long event will convene regional business and government leaders, key GRC decision-makers, along with senior executives from MetricStream. The event will provide attendees with a unique opportunity to hear first-hand expert insights on pressing GRC related topics, as well as an opportunity to network with their peers and industry analysts.

The MetricStream ERM Roundtable will feature three panel discussions and one GRC Journey workshop. The first panel session titled, “Aligning Risk Appetite with ERM Governance” will address how organizations and stakeholders need to understand the risks involved with their businesses and develop a risk appetite statement, in line with the organization’s Enterprise Risk Governance. Distinguished panelists for this session Angela Patel, SVP of Enterprise Risk Management at Pentagon Federal Credit Union; Henry Fu, Director - Enterprise Risk Manager at Fidelity & Guaranty Life; and Deb Swedberg, Senior Manager at Accenture Federal Services.

The second panel discussion titled, “Cybersecurity - A Critical Element to Enterprise Risk Management” will tackle the most pressing cybersecurity challenges, outline their significance within an organization’s Enterprise Risk Management framework, and offer effective strategies and solutions. The distinguished panelists for this session include Ramesh Sepehrrad, Vice President of National Governance, Risk and Compliance at Comcast; Alma Cole, Vice President of Cyber Security at Robbins Gioia; and Ernest Wohnig, Senior Global and Cybersecurity Advisor at The AES Corporation.

The third panel discussion titled, “The Importance of Converging Differences between Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit” will address how to converge internal auditing with the risk management and compliance function to improve overall business performance. Attendees will gain a greater understanding of how to build more effective and efficient compliance processes, as well as stay ahead of the latest risks in the current business environment. Distinguished panelists for this session include Josh Goldberg, Senior Director - Model Audit at Freddie Mac; Gerry Garcia, Vice President of Internal Audit at ICF International; and Carl Itoka, Senior Director of Internal Audit at Marriott International.

The GRC Journey Workshop will be led by Eric Burger, Professor, General Manager, Board Member, and experienced Expert Witness. Representing MetricStream at the event include French Caldwell, Chief Evangelist of GRC, and Yo Delmar, Vice President of GRC Solutions.
