November 12, 2015 | London, United Kingdom: MetricStream’s vision to empower individuals, businesses, and governments to become better governed, more risk-aware, and compliant came alive at its annual GRC Summit Europe 2015, held from November 10-11, 2015 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.

The event, designed along the theme, “Maximize Business Performance Through GRC Journey” brought together CEOs, Board Directors, Government Leaders, Business Executives, GRC Practitioners, Industry Analysts, Consultants, and more to discuss the latest challenges, best practices, and trends shaping the world of Governance, Risk, and Compliance. In addition to the attendees who participated at the event in London, the GRC Summit Europe reached several thousands more around the world through the video livestream and various social media platforms.

The GRC Summit Europe 2015 featured several inspiring keynote addresses, presentations, and panels with business and government leaders including Chris Gibson, Director, CERT – UK; Lee Bradley, Chief Risk Officer - Thomas Cook; Silvio de Girolamo, Chief Audit and Sustainability Executive - Autogrill; Cees Klumper, Chief Risk Officer - The Global Fund and Umar Zaman, Chief Administrative Officer - Global Risk and Control at AXA Investment Managers.

Highlights from The MetricStream GRC Summit Europe 2015 include:

  • An opening keynote given by Shellye Archambeau, Chief Executive Officer at MetricStream on leveraging risk intelligence to drive better decision-making and promote resiliency.
  • A keynote address on geopolitical risk, given by renowned economist and author Roger Bootle, followed by a Mastermind Interview led by Gaurav Kapoor, Chief Operating Officer at MetricStream.
  • A general session CXO panel discussion on the theme, “Maximize Business Performance” which featured insight from David Herbinet, Global Head of Audit at Mazars, Bruce Mann, Finance Director at the UK Cabinet Office, and Rui Vicente, Founding Partner at Dixtior Consulting, and moderated by Shellye Archambeau, CEO of MetricStream.
  • A keynote address given by Mark Steward, Head of Enforcement at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) on the evolving regulatory climate in the UK, followed by a Mastermind Interview led by French Caldwell, Chief Evangelist at MetricStream.
  • The GRC Journey Awards ceremony which recognized the Bank of Tanzania, the central bank of the United Republic of Tanzania with the MetricStream “GRC Journey Award” and Silvio De Girolamo, Group Chief Internal Audit and CSR Officer at Autogrill with the “GRC Visionary Award.”

Led by MetricStream CEO Shellye Archambeau and Chief Evangelist French Caldwell, the GRC Summit Europe attendees took “The GRC Promise,” a pledge taken by over 2,000 GRC leaders around the world to acknowledge the important responsibility to: Preserve corporate integrity; Protect reputation and brand; and Provide the regulatory and risk intelligence needed for exceptional business Performance.
