October 28, 2016 | Palo Alto, California: MetricStream, a leading provider of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Apps, has announced today the launch of its enhanced Regulatory Change Management App which helps organizations track regulatory updates, determine their impact on the business, and define a plan of action to implement changes.

The MetricStream Regulatory Change Management App provides a centralized framework to aggregate regulatory content from multiple trusted content sources, tag and categorize content based on a pre-defined regulatory taxonomy, triage and route critical regulatory alerts to relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts for assessment, and determine the impact of regulatory updates on the organization. The app leverages MetricStream’s proprietary cloud-based content portal “GRCIntelligence” to connect with data sources and store regulatory content. The content can then be delivered to recipients as RSS feeds or email alerts based on a set of pre-configured rules.

According to a recent MetricStream Research report that features the insights and perspectives of over 120 compliance professionals in North America and Europe, regulatory change management processes are still maturing for the majority of businesses. The report findings further demonstrate that 48% of organizations are still using basic office productivity tools such as spreadsheets to manage their regulatory change management process, and only 8% of respondents use either regulatory change management software on a GRC platform or niche RCM software to manage regulatory change.

The MetricStream Regulatory Change Management App helps organizations automate their end-to-end RCM processes. It also allows users to define regulatory roles, assign regulatory responsibilities in line with the organizational structure, and ensure that the right information reaches the right users in real time. Organizations can conduct regulatory impact assessments by linking regulatory updates to associated risks, controls, policies, and other GRC attributes. Action plans and related tasks can be easily created and assigned to relevant users for implementation, thereby simplifying and streamlining the regulatory change management process. In addition, the app’s integrated and flexible workflows will help route regulatory updates and related tasks for quick review, action, and approval.

Commenting on MetricStream’s enhanced Regulatory Change Management App, Vasant Balasubramanian, Senior Vice President of Product Management at MetricStream said, “Keeping pace with regulatory change and understanding the impact of these changes on the business is becoming an increasingly challenging and costly endeavor for organizations across industries.” He continued, “The MetricStream Regulatory Change Management App is helping organizations simplify, streamline, and strengthen their RCM programs. With greater visibility into end-to-end RCM processes, business leaders will be able to make better risk-informed decisions that drive performance.”
