August 21, 2009 | Palo Alto, California: MetricStream Inc., the market leader in enterprise-wide Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) and Quality Management solutions, today announced that it is participating in the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) 2009 GRC Conference. Focusing on the theme “Internal Audit Solutions for Tough Times”, the event is being held on August 24-24, 2009 at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, California.

The recent times have been fraught with acquisitions, divestitures, reorganization and globalization. This year’s conference has been revamped to ensure that Internal Auditors are geared to adapt to the changes quickly. The event aims to prepare attendees for what lies ahead, show how successful organizations are staying on the course and teach the skills to help overcome adversity.

At the conference, MetricStream will demonstrate its industry-leading Internal Audit Management software solution that is completely web-based and designed for risk-based auditing with embedded best practices. The solution can be easily configured and tailored exactly for customers’ auditing processes. Simple, collaborative and integrated with risk and compliance processes, the software is used by several leading global corporations.

"We are pleased to join Internal Auditors and GRC executives at this important industry event,” says Gaurav Kapoor, CFO and General Manager at MetricStream. “Many Internal Audit groups are facing productivity challenges due to outdated audit systems that are not web-enabled, inefficient manual processes that cannot keep up with business growth and inflexible desktop tools that do not meet changing auditing needs. MetricStream has been successfully in delivering an integrated software solution for enterprise-wide auditing resulting in greater productivity, higher transparency and improved collaboration. Further, our platform’s comprehensive capabilities for risk, compliance and policy management ensure that customers are able to take a holistic approach to GRC.”

At the conference, MetricStream will showcase the comprehensive functionality of its solution including risk assessments of auditable entities, audit engagement, planning, scheduling and resource management, execution of audit engagements, maintaining of risk and controls repositories, work paper management, audit report generation, distribution and communication with the management, follow-up of compliance with audit recommendations and board and audit committee reporting.

Recently, MetricStream entered into a strategic partnership with the IIA to support best practices in Internal Auditing continuing its active role in advocating GRC as a key component of business strategy.
