September 17, 2010 | Palo Alto, California: MetricStream Inc., the market leader in enterprise-wide Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) solutions, today announced its participation in the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Western Regional Conference which will be held on September 19-22, 2010 at Anaheim, California.

The conference comes at a time when the role of internal auditors has assumed increasing significance. Confronted with threats such as a global financial crisis, terrorism, natural disasters and cyber-crime, internal auditors are being called upon to not only conduct audits but to manage a wide variety of risk and compliance requirements.

The conference will provide an excellent forum for internal auditors to meet, exchange ideas and pick up best practices from leading experts in the field. On the agenda are workshops on audit report writing and CIA examination preparation using the IIA’s CIA Learning System. There will also be discussions on how to build a world-class audit team, sustain audit excellence and navigate the changing expectations of auditors. Some of the key speakers include Richard Chambers, President and CEO of the IIA, Alan Siegfried Auditor General at the Inter-American Development Bank and Rod Winters, CIA at Microsoft.

MetricStream will be showcasing its industry-leading GRC and Audit Management Solutions at the event. Recognized for their flexibility and comprehensiveness, MetricStream solutions have been implemented by leading companies across global industries. The solutions enable companies to streamline and integrate GRC initiatives across the enterprise, thus maximizing business performance and controlling costs.
