As a result of increasing complexity across the global supply chain, organizations find it challenging to gain a comprehensive view of their operations in order to prevent and detect incidents of human trafficking and forced labor. Currently, the California Transparency Act SB 657 and the Executive Order Against Trafficking in Persons in Federal Contracting are the only regulations pertaining to human trafficking. The enactment of Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act indicates the possibility of new regulations against human trafficking, similar to HR 2759, the Business Transparency on Trafficking and Slavery Act, which was introduced in 2011, but never enacted.

Few organizations have been able to achieve a comprehensive view and proactive approach to prevent human trafficking incidents throughout their supply chain. Today, leading organizations are focusing their efforts on implementing stronger programs around supplier due diligence, risk assessment, verification and validation, training, and capacity building disclosure of activities.

Join Declan Croucher, Director of Business Development at Verite and Keri Dawson, Vice President of Industry Solutions and Advisory Services at MetricStream as they explore the human rights regulatory landscape, and discuss prevention programs that span internal and external stakeholders.

Key topics that will be covered during this webinar include:

  • Emerging risks, requirements and regulations
  • Understanding human trafficking and bonded labor
  • Implementing an effective human rights framework and prevention program
  • Critical components of an effective prevention program
  • Driving early risk detection and facilitating transparency across the supply chain
