June 18, 2014 | Palo Alto, California: MetricStream, a market leader in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solutions today announced that its Executive Chairman, Gunjan Sinha, will join an influential group of 300 business, political, and thought leaders at the Horasis Global India Business Meeting to discuss new perspectives on tackling risk, and strengthening economic growth in India. The summit, which is considered to be the foremost annual gathering of Indian business leaders and their global counterparts, will be held from June 22-23, 2014 in Liverpool, U.K. MetricStream is a Co-Chair and Knowledge Partner at the event.

During the event, Mr. Sinha will moderate a panel discussion titled, “Mapping Risks: Analyzing the Indian Context,” which will convene top business executives to debate how to mitigate the various economic, political, and social risks that could threaten the Indian economy in the coming years. Mr. Sinha will also participate in a panel discussion, moderated by Dr. Frank-Jürgen Richter, Chairman of Horasis, which will focus on identifying the economic development models that can best facilitate India’s long-term growth.

As India’s new government takes office, all eyes are focused on their next move and longer-term plan for the country. Businesses, in particular are hopeful that the government will restore investor confidence in the economy, improve infrastructure, create more jobs, and accelerate decision-making. Yet to facilitate this kind of growth, there needs to be constant dialogue and discussion - which is where the Horasis summit plays a key role.

“Through our Global Business Meetings, we aim to bring together leaders from across the world to collectively discuss the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for global economies,” said Frank-Jürgen Richter, Chairman of Horasis. “We are delighted that MetricStream will be joining us at this event once again. Their insights into risk management and its impact on economic growth and development in India will be very valuable to participants at the summit.”

Mr. Sinha has been invited to speak at several Horasis summits across Europe including Barcelona, Munich, Lisbon, Madrid, and Naples. He brings to the table extensive experience working with leading global corporations to strengthen their governance, risk management, innovation, and business performance strategies.

Speaking on his participation at the summit, Mr. Sinha said, “I look forward to attending the Horasis summits for the opportunity to collaborate and exchange ideas with luminaries from business and politics. This year, with a new government at the helm, it will be exciting to discuss how India can build a more risk-intelligent, fast-growing, and prosperous economy. India stands at the cusp of change - but its future will depend, to a large extent, on how well it is able to identify, manage, and mitigate the risks that lie ahead. Through our sessions at the summit, we hope to facilitate a better understanding of these risks, as well as the strategies and technologies needed to best manage them.”
