November 24, 2014 | Palo Alto, California: A leading manufacturer of environmental cleaning solutions, has selected MetricStream to provide a conflict minerals management solution and a full range of supplier support services to enable effective compliance with the conflict minerals reporting requirements of Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act.

MetricStream’s supplier governance and conflict minerals experts will work closely with the company to build a strong conflict minerals management strategy, implement a conflict minerals program, conduct supplier surveys, and manage conflict minerals reporting. The MetricStream team will also provide helpdesk services for the manufacturer’s suppliers during self-assessments and surveys. Alongside, the MetricStream solution will streamline, integrate, and automate conflict minerals management workflows, while strengthening process tracking and traceability.

MetricStream collaborated with the company in a series of workshops to shape a conflict minerals implementation roadmap, and establish supplier communication templates, protocols, self-assessments, and surveys to capture conflict minerals data. MetricStream also provided online support and training services for the company to conduct supplier surveys and self-assessments, assess conflict minerals risks, and develop reports. Additionally, the team managed the entire process of distributing surveys to suppliers, and responding to their queries.

The MetricStream solution will consolidate all conflict minerals data within a centralized repository. This data will be mapped to the corresponding products, components, suppliers, and business units for complete transparency. The solution will also streamline the entire supplier survey management process - from survey planning and distribution, to the collection of responses and data analysis. Powerful reports and dashboards will provide real-time visibility into conflict minerals risks and the associated suppliers and products, thus enabling stakeholders to proactively manage and mitigate these risks through the solution. In addition, the solution’s automated data aggregation capabilities, coupled with inbuilt reporting templates will simplify conflict minerals reporting, and enable a more efficient process to generate Form SD.

The manufacturing company has joined a growing list of leading companies across industries who are implementing MetricStream solutions and services to help them build more responsible sourcing practices, and to comply with Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act.
