July 16, 2009 | Palo Alto, California: MetricStream Inc., the market leader in enterprise-wide Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) and Quality Management software solutions, was named to the 2009 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 in recognition of its innovative solution for Supply Chain Governance.

Designed specifically to address the increasing complexity and volatility resulting from procurement and sourcing operations that involve thousands of suppliers distributed across the globe, MetricStream’s Supply Chain Governance solution enables large organizations to streamline and manage supplier quality, supplier risks and supplier performance in an integrated manner. In addition, the solution built on MetricStream’s industry leading GRC Platform allows customers to identify, assess, mitigate and manage supply chain risks for meeting operational compliance and enterprise risk management (ERM) goals.

The 2009 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 recognizes supply chain solution and service providers that are helping customers and clients both respond to the downturn and, more importantly, position themselves for growth ahead.

Key components of the MetricStream Supply Chain Governance solution are:

Supplier Quality Management for implementing a consistent and predictable process for nonconformance recording and supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) or corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs) including investigation, failure analysis, root cause analysis, supplier charge-back and follow-up actions across the supplier base.

Supplier Audit Management for streamlining supplier and vendor audits, surveys, assessments and inspections to ensure that suppliers meet the established product and process compliance requirements. The solution supports planning, scheduling and conducting audits at remote supplier locations, analyzing audits finding as well as comprehensive audit reporting and follow-up activities.

Supplier performance management for defining and measuring performance goals and indicators (Key Performance Indicators - KPIs) for suppliers based on SLAs and contracts across a broad set of categories and metrics such as cost of poor quality, delivery performance, responsiveness, order fulfillment and visibility, returns and charge-backs, innovation, customer complaints and social responsibility.

Supplier and Supply Chain Risk Management for enabling companies to identify, assess, mitigate and manage risk and uncertainties arising due to several reasons including outsourcing, globalization, local and country legislations, currency fluctuations, vendor quality, franchisee operations and disasters so as to  minimize the impact on business performance.

Supplier Scorecards and Dashboards for monitoring overall supplier performance in real-time and tracking improvements to identify top performing and underachieving suppliers for effective negotiations sound decision-making based on hard facts.

Supplier Collaboration for streamlining interactions and information exchange on processes such as change requests, change notifications, product lifecycle and inspection plans.

"We are honored to be recognized as an industry innovator by Supply & Demand Chain Executive,” said Shellye Archambeau, CEO at MetricStream. “During this downturn, the savings potential of rationalizing and optimizing the supply chain cannot be ignored. This is distinctly apparent in large corporations where multiple businesses units and product lines transact with a global supplier base creating a complex web of redundancies and inefficiencies in absence of an integrated supply chain governance framework.”
