Victoria is an experienced risk and compliance leader. She is is currently a Managing Director in Compliance at Barclays. Previously, Victoria was the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at the Cambridge Building Society, where she was awarded Outstanding Chief Risk Officer by Credit Strategy in 2019 and was previously Deputy Chair of the PRA Practitioner Panel.

Libby brings over 25 years of expertise in managing non-financial risks and strategic change in the financial markets and services sector. As the Chief Platform & Functions Officer, for Risk, Compliance, Legal and Global Corporate Secretariat functions, she now leads the transformational GRC platform innovation, development and implementation for the Bank. Nassim Nicholas Taleb is a philosopher, scholar of randomness, essayist, risk-management expert, and former trader. He is known for a multidisciplinary approach to the role of the high-impact rare event. 

He is author of the New York Times bestseller The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable, the revelatory book that explains everything we know about what we don’t know. In it, he defines a “black swan” as a highly improbable event with three principal characteristics: it is unpredictable; it carries a massive impact; and, after the fact, we concoct an explanation that makes it appear less random, and more predictable, than it was. He concludes that black swans underlie almost everything about our world, from the rise of religions to events in our own personal lives. He offers surprisingly simple tricks for dealing with black swans and benefiting from them, and changing the way we look at the world.

Previously, Taleb has held senior positions with major banks focusing on the trading and risk management of complex derivatives, and worked independently on the floor of the Chicago exchanges. He went on his own in 1999 and, until 2008, specialized in protecting portfolios against extreme events.

In addition to his other books and scholarly papers, Taleb is the author of the extremely popular Fooled by Chance: The Hidden Role of Chance in Life and in the Markets, which was named by Fortune as one of The Smartest Books of All Time. His books have more than a million copies in print, and are translated into 27 languages.

He is currently a visiting professor at the London Business School. He held among other positions that of the Dean's Professor in the Sciences of Uncertainty at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and taught derivatives modeling at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences of New York University. He has an MBA from Wharton and a PhD from the University of Paris.

One of the City of London’s best-known economists, Roger Bootle runs the consultancy, Capital Economics, one of the world’s largest independent economics consultancies, which he founded in 1999. Roger is also a Specialist Adviser to the House of Commons Treasury Committee and an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries. He was formerly Group Chief Economist of HSBC and, under the previous Conservative government, he was appointed one of the Chancellor’s panel of Independent Economic Advisers, the so-called "Wise Men". In July 2012, it was announced that Roger and a team from Capital Economics had won the Wolfson Prize, the second biggest prize in Economics after the Nobel.

Roger Bootle studied at Oxford University and then became a Lecturer in Economics at St Anne’s College, Oxford. Most of his subsequent career has been spent in the City of London.

Roger has written many articles and several books on monetary economics. His latest book, The Trouble with Europe, published in May this year, has been widely acclaimed. It follows The Trouble with Markets, which analyses the deep causes of the recent financial crisis and discusses the threats to capitalism arising from it. Like his previous book, Money for Nothing, which correctly anticipated the financial crisis, it has been widely praised. It followed the success of The Death of Inflation, published in 1996, which became a best-seller and was subsequently translated into nine languages. Roger is also joint author of the book Theory of Money, and author of Index-Linked Gilts.

Roger appears frequently on television and radio and is also a regular columnist for The Daily Telegraph. In The Comment Awards 2012 he was named Economics Commentator of the year.

Paddy McGuinness is Senior Adviser at Brunswick Group counselling clients globally on crisis, resilience, risk and geopolitics. His personal focus is on technology and cyber issues and he works independently with investment funds and start ups on technical solutions to security problems. From 2014-18 he was the UK’s Deputy National Security Adviser leading on national crisis response to the hazards and threats in the National Risk Register and oversaw the UK’s National Cyber Security Programme. Pro bono Paddy is Chair of Trustees at St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney and a Commissioner of the Oxford Internet Institute Commission on Elections and Technology (OxTec).

Maj. Gen. Charles Frank Bolden Jr. (USMC-Ret.) was nominated by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the 12th Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). He began his duties as head of the Agency on July 17, 2009. 

At NASA, Bolden oversaw the safe transition from 30 years of Space Shuttle missions to a new era of exploration focused on full utilization of the International Space Station and space and aeronautics technology development. He led the Agency in developing a Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft that will carry astronauts to deep space destinations, such as an asteroid and Mars. He also established a new Space Technology Mission Directorate to develop cutting-edge technologies for the missions of tomorrow. The Agency’s dynamic science activities under Bolden include an unprecedented landing on Mars with the Curiosityrover, launch of a spacecraft to Jupiter, and continued progress toward the 2018 launch of the James Webb Space Telescope, the successor to the Hubble Space Telescope. 

Bolden graduated from C. A. Johnson High School in 1964 and received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy. He earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical science in 1968 and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Marine Corps. In 1977, he earned a master of science degree in systems management from the University of Southern California.

Bolden’s 34-year career with the Marine Corps included 14 years as a member of NASA’s Astronaut Office. After joining the office in 1980, he traveled to orbit four times aboard the Space Shuttle between 1986 and 1994, commanding two of the missions and piloting two others. He retired from the Marine Corps in 2003 and was inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame in May 2006.

Robert was Director of GCHQ, the UK’s largest intelligence and cyber security agency, from 2014-17 and recently retired from Government after 20 years in national security roles, including Prime Minister’s Security Adviser.

He is now Executive Chairman for Europe of BlueVoyant, a global cyber security services company, and Senior Adviser at McKinsey & Co.

Robert established the UK National Cyber Security Centre in 2016, having been responsible for the UK’s first cyber strategy in 2009. While at No10 he also published the first National Risk Register for the UK in 2008. He is a leading authority on cyber security, cyber conflict and the application of technology in national security and writes regularly on cyber issues in the Financial Times.Robert is a Senior Fellow at Harvard’s Belfer Center, the Institute of Engineering and Technology, and the Royal United Services Institute, and an Honorary Fellow of Wadham College, Oxford.

Over a 40-year career, Mr.Scott has shaped groundbreaking information technology solutions at some of the world’s most recognizable brands, including Microsoft, General Motors, VMware, and The Walt Disney Company. A cybersecurity and cloud computing pioneer, he has championed and executed strategies that have driven results from the corporate boardroom to the consumer’s living room, changing the way we think about modern data management and open-source advancements. Following a long tenure at Marriott, where he developed the first microcomputer-based forecasting tools and labor management and scheduling tools, he held executive roles at Sun Microsystems, Price Waterhouse, and Bristol-Myers Squibb. As the first chief information officer to manage corporate-wide IT at The Walt Disney Company, he upgraded the company’s infrastructure, developed enterprise-wide risk management and cybersecurity functions, and insured company-wide compliance with regulatory and risk issues. As CIO of Microsoft, he was responsible for all aspects of the company’s IT organization and enterprise digital supply chain, including Microsoft.com and partner-facing websites. In 2015, he was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve as the third Chief Information Officer of the United States. During his tenure, he initiated a 30-day Cybersecurity Sprint and led the government response to a series of cyber intrusions, including an unprecedented breach of personnel data. he implemented a 21st-century approach to digital governance, promoted transparency and innovation, and established partnerships between the public and private sectors. Along the way, he navigated net neutrality policy, managed privacy issues arising from the Apple vs. the FBI legal case, and oversaw federal technology spending, including managing an $85 billion budget. Today, he leads the TonyScottGroup, offering cutting-edge enterprise strategy and solutions. He has a bachelor of science in information systems management from the University of San Francisco and a juris doctorate from Santa Clara University. He has been inducted into the CIO Hall of Fame by CIO magazine and is a two-time winner of FedScoop’s 50 “Golden Gov: Executive of the Year” award.

Ms. Anne Neuberger serves as NSA’s first Chief Risk Officer and a member of NSA’s Senior Leadership Team. As Chief Risk Officer, she is responsible for creating and maturing a methodology and processes to assess risk across NSA’s mission, and implementing an enterprise risk management process. Prior to her assignment as Chief Risk Officer, Anne served as the Director of NSA’s Commercial Solutions Center, responsible for NSA’s interface and partnerships with the private sector. Prior to that, she served as Special Assistant to the Director, NSA, for the Enduring Security Framework (ESF), building a deep and effective partnership between leading companies, the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, NIST and NSA, on initiatives across a broad set of technical and policy areas. In this capacity, Anne also led the Department of Defense’s Defense Industrial Base Pilot, defining the first policy and legal framework for government sharing of classified signatures and indicators with Internet Service Providers. Prior to ESF, Anne served on the U.S. Cyber Command Implementation Team which led the planning and standup of USCYBERCOM.

Prior to joining NSA, Anne served as the Navy’s Deputy Chief Management Officer and a Special Advisor to the Secretary of the Navy, with responsibility for guiding Navy enterprise IT programs. 

Anne first joined government service in 2007 as a White House Fellow, working for Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. The nonpartisan White House Fellows Program was founded in 1964 and is one of America’s most prestigious programs for leadership and public service.

Prior to joining government service, Anne was Senior Vice President of Operations at American Stock Transfer & Trust Company (AST), where she was responsible for directing operations, including dividend distributions, and complex mergers, and acquisitions processing, for approximately 2,000 publicly traded companies. Anne joined AST in 1994 as a software programmer, was promoted to the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) in 2003 and Senior VP of Operations in 2005. As CIO, she led a team that designed and implemented systems to automate the granting and exercising of stock options as well as online share purchases and sales. As Senior VP of Operations, she managed the acquisition and integration of the corporate trust operations of Wachovia Bank, NA.

Anne earned a MBA, Beta Gamma Sigma and a Masters of International Affairs from Columbia University. She graduated from Touro College, summa cum laude, where she was awarded the Hannah Lander Award for Academic Excellence and a Merit Scholarship.

Gillian Tett leads U.S. editorial operations across all platforms for the Financial Times. She writes weekly columns covering a range of global economic, financial, political and social issues. In 2015, Tett received an honorary doctorate from Lancaster University in the U.K., one of the top 10 British universities. In 2014, she was named columnist of the year in the British Press Awards and was the first recipient of the Royal Anthropological Institute Marsh Award. Her latest book, The Silo Effect, looks at the global economy and financial system through the lens of cultural anthropology.

Sakari Lehtinen works as chief Audit executive of the OP Financial Group in Finland. Sakari's special areas of interest are risk-based and agile auditing, the use of data analytics and AI on internal auditing, and the management of competence and development. He has 25 years of experience in internal auditing and has served as the chairman of the Board of the Institute of Internal Auditors in Finland.

Robert is the Head of Enterprise and Non-Financial Risk at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). Robert was previously the Group Head of Capital Risk Management at Revolut. Before this, Robert was the UK Head of Enterprise and Non-Financial Risk at Credit Suisse. He holds a Mathematics degree from University of Leeds and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Peter Debasse works for KBC's Group Risk team as the Group Information Risk Officer. His team is driving the methodology with regards to Information Security and IT-related risks, is challenging processes and controls via deep dives and is responsible to report to the group committees. He is also co-founder and active member of the Belgian Cyber Security Coalition, a cross-sector community with players from academia, public agencies and the private sector.

Manish is a seasoned risk and compliance leader with retail / private / investment banking experience across multiple financial and non-financial risk disciplines and extensive experience in managing regulatory engagements, internal/external audit, remediation and compliance projects (e.g. MAS, HKMA, BAFIN, FINMA, BOT, RBI, etc). Currently, he is CRO of data & AI accelerator, SCB DataX, of SCBX Group which is regulated by Bank of Thailand. Xavier Barde is Group Chief Risk Officer (“GCRO”) for the Pictet Group since April 2018. Based in Geneva, he has held various positions in the Group Finance Department, the most recent of which was Group Deputy Chief Financial officer (“CFO”). Xavier Barde spent part of his career with Arthur Andersen before joining the Group in 2000. Xavier Barde holds a degree in Economics and Banking from the University of St Gallen and is a Swiss qualified CPA.

Klaus Moosmayer, Ph.D., has been Chief Ethics, Risk & Compliance Officer of Novartis since 2018. He is a member of the Executive Committee of Novartis. Mr. Moosmayer previously was chief compliance officer of Siemens AG, a position he held since 2014. During his 18year career at Siemens, Mr. Moosmayer also served as chief counsel compliance from 2009 to 2013, and as compliance operating officer from 2007 to 2009. Mr. Moosmayer received his doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Freiburg in Germany, and passed his first and second state examination in law in Germany. George has been CISO at Comerica and Synchrony, a global executive in security and data at Morgan Stanley and EY, and served in multiple board/advisory roles with The Clearing House, Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council, and the Department of Homeland Security. Being one of the four Systemic banks in Greece, Eurobank has a strong presence in Bulgaria, Romania and Cyprus and offers Wealth Management services in Luxembourg and London. Despina is leading the Internal Audit Group General Division of nearly 120 professionals across Eurobank group, including Greek and foreign subsidiaries since 1998. Fox Ahmed is the Global Head of Cybersecurity and Technology and Data Protection Regulatory Risk, with 20+ years in financial services, specializing in cybersecurity, risk management, and regulatory compliance. He holds an MSc in Information Technology from Royal Holloway, University of London, along with multiple industry certifications (Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt, Security+, CRISC, CISM, CISA). Ben is a Chartered Accountant who has worked in risk and control disciplines within large Financial Services businesses for almost 25 years. Roles have spanned the three lines of defence, as well as several years as an external reviewer. His current role is at Nationwide, where he has spent the last 9 years – with responsibilities centred around setting the risk framework; overseeing its application; and reporting on risk insights.

Nick is a Chief Auditor at NatWest, focused on Risk, Credit and Financial Crime and also sponsoring work on the future  shape of NatWest's Internal Audit function.   Nick has worked in external audit, internal audit and first line controls roles across a thirty year career in the financial services industry.  Prior to joining NatWest in 2023, Nick was Chief Controls Officer at Nationwide. A Chartered Accountant and Chartered Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Nick has also led audit and controls teams across Barclays, Northern Trust, Prudential and UBS, working across many aspects of the industry including Asset & Wealth Management, Cards & Payments, Retail Banking and Custody/Fund Services.

Elena García Aguado is the Head of Compliance at RWE Renewables , where she leads the design and implementation of a comprehensive compliance management program for the Onshore and PV renewable energy sector. Her role includes advising on strategic compliance measures related to antitrust, corruption, money laundering, and international sanctions. Elena is a Spanish-qualified lawyer, with over 20 years of experience in the legal and compliance sectors in Spain, Belgium and Germany. She is fluent in Spanish, German, English, and French.

Nick Fuller is the Global Head of Resiliency Risk Management and Head of International Technology Risk Management at BNY. In these roles, he provides independent oversight and challenge of the firm's operational resiliency capabilities and technology risks, including the enterprise resiliency lifecycle, testing program and response capabilities. Before joining BNY, Nick led the development of Credit Suisse’s approach to operational resilience. Prior to that, he was the EMEA Head of Business Continuity Management, with over 20 years of experience in developing and implementing a firm-wide business continuity and crisis management framework. Nick has managed a wide variety of crisis events, including system outages, environmental issues, and civil unrest. In addition, he is actively engaged in industry collaboration, including previously being co-chair of the Securities Industry Business Continuity Management Group (SIBCMG) and supporting the development of multiple UK and international industry exercises.

Sarah has worked within the resilience industry for over ten years, building resilience functions in firms across the legal, financial and professional services sectors. Sarah’s career has spanned Business Continuity, Incident Management and Operational Resilience practices, and her current role focusses on continued compliance with the Operational Resilience UK regulation for March 2025. In addition, Sarah has a particular interest in supplier resiliency and third party compliance, and she is dedicated to ensuring that the next generation of resilience professionals have the relevant opportunities to welcome them into the industry.

Tim Armit is Head of Operational Resilience and Business Continuity for QBE.  He has worked in resilience for 36 years working across over 100 companies in all sectors around the world, responsible for the innovation and implementation of a number of resilience practices. He served as an Officer in the Army and then joined Guardian Royal Exchange working in IT before moving into full time resilience in 1989.  From GRE to the Post Office ensures he has first hand experience of all aspects of resilience and using plans in anger. He developed the first methodology for implementing Turnbull processes leading to what is now known as operational risk and was responsible for developing the first BS7799 software assessment tool. He is also the first consultant to complete every aspect of the business continuity lifecycle up to and including achieving accreditation to BS25999 for a client before it transitioned to the ISO standard now in place.   He has managed global resilience projects operating in up to 16 countries simultaneously and understands the impact of the global risks in large companies. Tim was the lead for the UK Tripartite to benchmark the UK financial sector and  has helped establish a consultancy in Spain in conjunction with the BME (Spanish Stock Exchange).
